About Bob:
Bob started as WV2RJZ in 1961 at the age of 13, progressing to General in 1962
and Amateur Extra in 1969. Bob was active in the LIDXA in the 1970s and served
as its Bulletin Editor for two years, before taking a typical sabbatical from
amateur radio while the family was growing and business intervened. In
retirement, he has become very active once again, and can be found often on all
the HF bands on CW or SSB looking for DX, or contesting if one is scheduled.
Bob is a (mostly) retired engineer, living with his very supportive partner, Ann
on the Isle of Man.
