About Chris:

After 6 years as an SWL, Chris was licenced in 1959.  His main interests were construction of several SSB transmitters, etc., and aerials such as rhombics and quads.

Operation was mainly on local nets on HF, and some 2m AM.

There was no activity for many years due to work commitments.    In the 1990s, after retirement, he returned to the hobby and became interested in DX, with wire aerials.

Chris lives next to the Fal estuary in Cornwall with his wife Sandria.  They have three boys in their thirties.
